Custom Swimming Pool Builders

What You Actually Get From Us

You’re not buying a pool. You’re buying 8-12 weeks of your life spent wondering if the contractor will show up, if the permit will clear, if the design will actually fit your yard, and if you’ll end up with something that looks like every other pool on your street.

Or you could work with builders who handle the permit paperwork, show up when we say we will, and design something that fits how you actually use your backyard. Not a template. Not a sales pitch. Just a pool that makes sense for your property and your family.

We’ve built custom inground cement pools across South Georgia since 2014, backed by over three decades of hands-on construction experience. That means we’ve seen what happens when you cut corners on excavation in Georgia clay. We know which designs hold up and which ones create maintenance headaches. We understand the permit process in Coffee County and what inspectors actually look for.

You get a backyard you’ll use, not just look at. And you get builders who treat your timeline and your budget like they matter.

Licensed Pool Contractor Georgia

Who's Actually Building Your Pool

Deep Waters Pools started because one builder got tired of watching homeowners get burned by contractors who overpromised and underdelivered. We’re licensed and insured in Georgia, fully compliant with state regulations and International Swimming Pool Code requirements.

We’ve been serving Osierfield and the surrounding South Georgia area since 2014. That’s a decade of building pools in this soil, navigating these permit offices, and working with homeowners who want straight answers instead of sales scripts.

Osierfield sits in Coffee County, where property values have been climbing and homeowners are investing in outdoor living spaces that actually get used. We’ve built pools for families who want a place for their kids to play, for couples who want a backyard retreat, and for homeowners who just want to stop driving to the lake every weekend. Every project is different because every yard and every family is different.

Pool Company Douglas County GA

Here's How the Process Actually Works

First, we come to your property. We look at your yard, talk about how you want to use the pool, and figure out what’s realistic for your space and budget. No pressure, no upselling. Just an honest conversation about what works and what doesn’t.

Then we design it. You get a custom design based on your property’s layout, your lifestyle, and what you told us you wanted. We’re not pulling a template from a catalog. We’re drawing something specific to your backyard.

Next, we handle the permits. Georgia requires site plans, safety barrier documentation, and approval from your local building department. We submit everything, follow up with the county, and make sure it’s done right. You don’t have to call the permit office or figure out what forms you need.

Once permits clear, we start construction. Excavation, plumbing, electrical, steel reinforcement, concrete application, filtration system installation. The timeline is typically 8-12 weeks from permit approval, depending on weather and any site-specific challenges we run into.

When it’s done, we train you on how to operate and maintain your pool system. Then we clean up the site and hand you the keys, so to speak. You get a finished pool, not a construction zone.

Luxury Pool Design Experts

What's Included in Your Pool Project

You get a full site evaluation before we even talk design. We assess your soil conditions, drainage, access for equipment, and any potential challenges that could affect construction or cost. That happens upfront, not halfway through the project when it’s too late.

The design phase includes custom plans drawn for your specific property. We account for your yard’s shape, existing landscaping, how you want to use the space, and what features matter to you. Some families want a shallow play area for kids. Others want depth for diving or lap swimming. We build what fits your life.

Permit handling is included. We prepare and submit all required documentation to Coffee County, including site plans, engineering specs, and safety barrier plans. We manage the back-and-forth with the building department so you don’t have to.

Construction covers everything: excavation, steel reinforcement, plumbing and electrical installation, concrete application, filtration and circulation systems, and finish work. We’re not subbing out every phase to the lowest bidder. We manage the entire build.

You also get system training and startup. We walk you through how to operate your equipment, maintain water chemistry, and handle routine care. Then we do a final site cleanup so your yard is ready to enjoy, not a mess you have to deal with.

Osierfield homeowners are investing in outdoor living, and a custom pool adds real value to your property. But only if it’s done right. Cheap construction, poor drainage planning, or shortcuts on permits create expensive problems down the road. We build pools that last because we’ve seen what happens when corners get cut.

How long does it take to build a custom inground pool in Osierfield?

Plan on 8-12 weeks from the day permits are approved to the day you can swim. That’s the construction timeline for most custom inground cement pools in South Georgia.

But here’s what that doesn’t include: permit approval time. In Coffee County, permit processing can take anywhere from two to six weeks depending on how busy the building department is and whether your site requires any special documentation. If your property has drainage issues, steep grades, or is near wetlands, expect the permit phase to take longer.

Weather also affects the schedule. Georgia summers bring afternoon thunderstorms that can delay excavation and concrete work. If we hit a stretch of heavy rain during your build, the timeline extends. We’ll keep you updated, but it’s something to factor in when you’re planning.

The short version: from your first call to swimming in your new pool, expect three to five months total. That includes design, permits, construction, and any weather delays. If someone promises faster, ask what they’re cutting to make that happen.

You need a building permit from Coffee County before any excavation starts. That permit requires a site plan showing your property lines, the pool location, setback distances from property boundaries, and any existing structures.

Georgia also requires documentation of your safety barrier. That means a fence, pool cover, or other approved barrier that meets state code. The permit application has to show how you’re meeting that requirement before approval.

If your pool includes electrical work (which it will, for pumps and lighting), that gets inspected separately. Same with plumbing if you’re adding water features or a spa. The building department coordinates those inspections, but they’re part of the permit process.

Some properties need additional documentation. If you’re in a flood zone, near a wetland, or on a septic system, expect extra paperwork and possibly engineer certifications. If you’re in an HOA, you’ll also need their approval before the county will issue your permit.

We handle all of this. You don’t have to figure out what forms to fill out or who to call at the county office. We submit everything, follow up on approvals, and schedule inspections. It’s included in the project.

Most custom inground cement pools in South Georgia run between $40,000 and $80,000, depending on size, features, and site conditions. That’s a wide range because every project is different.

A basic rectangular pool with standard finishes and minimal features lands on the lower end. Add a spa, custom lighting, water features, or a freeform design, and the price goes up. If your property has access challenges, poor drainage, or requires significant grading work, that also affects cost.

Here’s what drives the price: excavation and site prep, steel and concrete work, plumbing and electrical installation, filtration and circulation systems, finish materials, and any custom features you want. Permits, engineering, and inspections are also part of the total cost.

We give you a detailed estimate after we evaluate your property and understand what you want. No ballpark guesses. No “starting at” pricing that doubles once we start. You get a real number based on your specific project so you can make an informed decision.

Financing is available if you need it, but we’re upfront about total cost before you commit. You shouldn’t have to guess what you’re spending on something this big.

Concrete inground pools hold up best in Georgia. The soil here is mostly clay, which shifts with moisture changes. Concrete handles that movement better than fiberglass or vinyl, and it lasts longer with less maintenance.

Fiberglass pools are cheaper upfront, but they can crack or shift if the soil moves. Vinyl liners need replacement every 7-10 years, and they’re more prone to damage from Georgia’s sun and heat. Concrete costs more initially, but you’re not replacing liners or dealing with structural issues down the road.

Georgia’s climate also matters. Summers are hot and humid, which means algae growth if your circulation and filtration aren’t set up right. Concrete pools give you more flexibility with water chemistry and system design, so you’re not constantly fighting algae or cloudy water.

We build concrete pools because they’re the best long-term option for South Georgia properties. The upfront investment is higher, but you get a pool that lasts 30+ years with proper care. That’s better value than replacing a liner every decade or repairing a cracked fiberglass shell.

If you’re planning to stay in your home and want something that holds up, concrete is the right choice. If you’re looking for the cheapest option, it’s not. We’ll tell you that upfront.

We don’t offer ongoing maintenance services, but we train you on how to maintain your pool before we finish the project. You’ll know how to balance chemicals, clean filters, and handle routine care.

Most pool maintenance is straightforward once you understand the basics. Test your water weekly, adjust chemicals as needed, clean your skimmer and pump baskets, and backwash your filter when pressure builds up. It takes 15-20 minutes a week once you’re in a routine.

If you’d rather hire someone, there are pool service companies in the Douglas County and Coffee County area that handle weekly maintenance. We can point you toward local companies that do good work, but we don’t provide that service ourselves.

What we do provide is a pool built right from the start. Proper circulation, correctly sized filtration, good water chemistry balance at startup. That makes ongoing maintenance easier because the system is designed to work efficiently.

If something breaks or you have questions down the road, you can call us. We’re not going to disappear after the project is done. But day-to-day maintenance is on you, and we make sure you know how to handle it before we hand over the finished pool.

Yes, but it affects the timeline and cost. Poor drainage or steep grades mean more site prep work before we can start building your pool.

If water pools in your yard after rain, we have to address that before excavation. That might mean installing drainage systems, regrading part of your property, or adjusting the pool location to avoid low spots. Ignoring drainage issues leads to problems later—your pool shell can shift, your deck can crack, and you’ll deal with constant water management headaches.

Steep grades require more excavation and potentially retaining walls or terracing. That adds labor and materials, but it’s necessary to create a stable, level area for your pool. Cutting corners on grading work causes structural problems you’ll pay to fix later.

We evaluate all of this during the site visit. If your property has challenges, we’ll tell you what needs to happen and what it costs. Some yards require more work than others. That’s not a dealbreaker—it just means being realistic about what’s involved.

The goal is a pool that lasts and a yard that drains properly. If that requires extra work upfront, we’d rather do it right than build something that creates problems. You’ll know what to expect before we start, not halfway through construction when it’s too late to back out.
